This YouTube video on Cute Overload is the most gob-smacking chicken & rabbit video ever, ever.

Also, I love that the person who posted it spells "Bawk" as "Bok".

Yes, there are rabbits and chickens all over our tree. DUH! :-)

1.) My apologies again for not reading my friends page for about two or three weeks now. The job hunt is just draining as usual. If everything goes well I might actually have time some day soon, because ...

2.) I finally have a face-to-face interview, this coming Friday. I'm VERY excited and well, validated. Someone actually likes me. (Weird.)

3.) We saw "V for Vendetta" and "She's the Man" recently. Both quite good, in very different ways. Go see them! My top reason in both cases is because of casting. In the case of "V for Vendetta" for just about everyone in the cast (too many to mention, WOW casting). In the case of "She's the Man", I have to say David Cross was just hilarious. This is not a surprise to any of us who have been watching "Arrested Development", I know.

4.) Happy Easter! Bunnies! Chickens! Need I say more? Hop! Nibble. Bawk. Flap. :-)

rabbit slippers

The photo was taken under poor lighting conditions. I could have fixed it a bit in Photoshop, but I'm too lazy. You get the point, though -- eyelashes and bunny teeth and nice pink ears and everything!

I must reiterate how difficult it is to actually find rabbit slippers. We've been looking for them for over a decade. I always wondered why everyone in movies seems to have them, and yet no stores actually sell them. Well, Filenes has finally broken the trend of "No Rabbit Slippers Sold Here". My jaw dropped when I saw that they had not one kind, but two kinds of rabbit slippers! A choice of rabbit slippers. Gobsmacked.

First off, in Hobbit tradition, I gave presents to other people on my birthday. This gave me the best sense of happiness, actually. Seeing the look on my darling [livejournal.com profile] bunnyohare's face when she got her long-wished-for Rabbit Slippers (pink!) was awesome. Plus, the plush monkey for my sister arrived in the mail today.

We also went out to dinner at the Tuscan Tavern in Warren (a town with a very rabbity name!), and then went to buy me an outfit for the Bunny's brother's wedding (which is in less than a week). I've gained forty (40!) pounds since I started on my thyroid medication a year ago, so of course none of my wedding-appropriate clothes fit me anymore.

Tonight she is making me a black forest cake, since yesterday we were way too full from dinner to even contemplate cake.

It was a wonderful birthday, and thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes.

Did I mention that thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kerri9494, we got our hands on a BK "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" merchandising junk? An awesome Bunvac 6000 toy, to be exact?

Wallace & Gromit: the Curse of the Were-Rabbit: what an awesome film! So funny. And those little rabbits are so cute! The sad thing is, apparently the Aardman animation warehouse burnt down this morning. They lost a ton of models, blueprints, and early sketches. One thing we chickens won't miss: the Pie Machine (if you've seen Chicken Run, you know what I mean).

Also, go see the equally awesome and funny Serenity if you haven't seen it yet. This is a good movie season.
