Official Serenity Movie Poster.

Compare this to an earlier draft version. Note that the much-maligned "floating heads" are gone, and the look on River's face is much more composed (someone on the official Serenity site compared it to early Sigourney Weaver).

I like this much better than the earlier draft.

Huh, I just realized for the first time that Summer Glau may be left-handed. In this poster anyway, her trigger finger appears to be her left forefinger. Hmmm. People who've been to cons -- does she sign her autographs left-handed? (I know Joss does!) Some people on Whedonesque said she's right-handed and that the gun is just held that way for graphic design reasons.

I still feel meh about it, but I don't know how they could do a better job. The floating heads didn't work, but I do miss seeing the rest of them there.

I have a feeling they'll do several more versions. Many movies these days have a lot of different posters. Sometimes they use the different ones in different markets (such as different ones here and abroad or even different ones in separate parts of the country). I have no idea, but there do seem to be a lot of rumors floating around about additional, different posters being in the works.
