Abs!

Today I did my abs/core strengthening exercises for the first time since October. I'm determined not to lapse again, because my back hasn't felt this good since the last day of my Physical Therapy. After that whole slipped disk craziness, it would be stupid to fall back into utter disrepair.

I know this seems like a futile New Year's resolution kind of thing, but I hope it's not. I hope I can <Kids-in-the-Hall-Voice>get back on the horse</Kids-in-the-Hall-Voice> for good.

Now I'm going for a walk to the post office. It's 52 degrees out, unusually warm for this time of year.

He also hardly eats. I bet. I know he does low low low carb. Or he used to.

I have been posting my exercise each day in [livejournal.com profile] fannish_fitness to help me keep track. I'm trying to move everyday.

I used to tons and tons of ab exercises, and my back felt so much better when I did. I need to get back on that.

Good for you! I bet having dogs to walk really, really helps with the exercise -- it compells people to exercise even when they don't want to! You do it for the dog's sake, and the next thing you know, you're helping yourself as well.

I know even the two times I walked Bunny's brother's dog Sammy around the yard, I felt pretty good. He's a very active doggy, likes to sniff every inch of the yard on all sides of the house and likes to try to get into the neighbor's yard, and you have to really pull and steer on the leash to keep him reined in. That's exercise! What a strong dog.

Now cats, you can't walk 'em.

My sister walked two of her cats on a leash.

Also, the guy who wrote "My Dog Skip" had a cat named Spit McGee. He wrote a book about him too. He walked Spit on a leash. Some cats will take it, but most won't.

I am so agog. I want to meet these cats. What kind of weird cats ARE they? ;-) For goodness sake, being WALKED on a LEASH. The indignity! Heh heh. That really is remarkable.

Now, I once saw a large Hare being walked on a leash. That was something all right. It was vaguely hopping & stopping, then hopping again.

My sister's cats were Siamese. This was many years ago. She had them at different times. But each time, she started them out as kittens on string and then switched them to a leash. They both loved it. Her neighbors would laugh as she walked down the street with her cat on a leash.

She has a cat now that she doesn't walk on a leash.

A hare on a leash is pretty funny.

Hmmmmm. I guess it's more common than I thought. Still, it's amazing to me that the bunny would even cooperate. Cute.

I was surprised, too. I think I got even more hits when I searched for "rabbit leash" instead of "bunny leash".

Isn't part of that from being a smoker (where smoking cuts down on your appetite). Or is he not a smoker, and Spike was a smoker but the ciggies were fake?

I think he smokes and wears the patch. He's weird.

I think smoking probably did cut down on his appetite, but I think he is just obsessed with keeping his appearance in shape so he can get acting jobs.

I've heard that he was sick during season 6, but I've also heard, no, he wasn't sick, he was really depressed during season 6. I don't know what the deal was, but he looked like hell to me that season. Scarecrow man. SMG looked like hell season 6 & 7 to me. She used to have some shape, but then she turned into a bag of bones.

He was too skinny, and so was/is Sarah. I love watching season two because she actually had some nice curves then. And season three, because Eliza! *perves* Even Eliza's gone a bit skinny lately, but not as bony as Sarah, thankfully. I really don't think it is any one actress' fault, I think Hollywood just pushes them to it, under threat of losing their careers or something. Anything over a size zero is "fat" in Hollywood. Geeez-us.

Remember when the press went after Alicia Silverstone for being too fat?

Buffy was so cute and curvy, but you're right about Hollywood pushing them. I hear that Joss loves the way Alyson and Amy Acker look, especially Amy. Amy is waaaaaaaaaay to skinny for my taste, but I think it's more natural for the both of them to be that way.
