Abs!

Today I did my abs/core strengthening exercises for the first time since October. I'm determined not to lapse again, because my back hasn't felt this good since the last day of my Physical Therapy. After that whole slipped disk craziness, it would be stupid to fall back into utter disrepair.

I know this seems like a futile New Year's resolution kind of thing, but I hope it's not. I hope I can <Kids-in-the-Hall-Voice>get back on the horse</Kids-in-the-Hall-Voice> for good.

Now I'm going for a walk to the post office. It's 52 degrees out, unusually warm for this time of year.

Oh good for you! Ron has had physical therapy for his back in the past, and I wish he would be better about keeping up with his back regimen at home. But he only does the exercises when his back starts hurting -- that seems like barn door::missing horse to me. I try to keep up with exercises for my perennial shoulder/hip problems; I'm not faithful every day but most days of the week I do at least some of the exercises. I find that the Daily Show makes a good background to watch while I do them!

Isn't this weather freaky? My body has this instinctive response, saying "It's Spring! It's Spring!" and I keep smacking myself on the head saying, "Shut up stupid, it's JANUARY." It's really going to hurt when the inevitable happens and we get back to temps in the 30s and snow a foot deep. Or more.

Good for you! Maybe you can get Ron to do his exercises while you do yours? The Daily Show is a universal draw, really. I used to watch my Roswell DVDs during my exercises.

For you, if you are lucky it will happen while you are away in Florida and you will miss the worst of it. :)
