We got the movie theatre, which has a very prominent sign on the door promising that they take Mastercard and Visa, and the person at the ticket counter says "sorry, we got hit by lightning, all our phone lines are down, you can't use a credit card." And we had nearly no cash with us. Mind you, by then poor bunny had had a very bad day, and we were very upset. Like, why don't they have one of those slide-y credit cards things? All analog. Come on? Bunny is very good at the persuasion, and so soon, we were given tickets into the film for free. We signed a list that I realized meant others had also gotten in free.

The time stamp on the tickets was 9:36 and the film was supposed to start at 9:35, with what I assumed would be the usual million minutes of commercials and previews first.

But when we got into our seats the movie had already been playing for a little bit, so we missed some of the beginning of the film. However, for free, I wasn't going to go complain. And several other people came in even later than us.

And it was quite entertaining. I really like Orlando Bloom, esp. after his cheeky appearance on So Graham Norton. And Keira Knightly is gorgeous and atheletic (just like in Bend it Like Beckham). Plus, Johnny Depp is good at being campy.

But what, what was my very favorite part of the film? Jack Davenport! Jack! Bunny recognized him right away, and I did too a few seconds after her (she is fast, I am slow) because his voice is SO distinctive! All I could think was "Steve!" and "Suuuusan!" And every time he came on screen, I laughed. Cuz, Steve! Steve in a wig! Ohmigod. If you've ever seen Coupling you will know what I am talking about. He was also really good in that vampire thing, Ultraviolet.

Plus, having read several LJ users' journals in which they either lamented having missed or celebrated not missing the end scene after the credits, I am glad to have stayed for it. Fun! Silly monkey. Can we say, sequel?

Oh, my. Cloning Yields Human-Rabbit Hybrid Embryo.

"Some wondered aloud what, exactly, such a creature would be if it were transferred to a womb to develop to term."

Hop?
