no laptop

The laptop falling asleep problem was solved (two shorts in the cables connecting the DVD/CD drive to the rest of the computer caused it to keep going into low power mode), but of course we still don't have it back, because when we got it, there was a weird problem with a dark area on the monitor, right above the apple logo, that the guy said could spread and render the monitor unusable. So, back to the shop and another two weeks' wait. Argh!
