Lime Bars!

So the other day, entrenous88 posted a recipe for homemade Lime Bars. We made them last night, and they kick ass!! They are SO much better than the store ones, which tend to be overly sweet. These have lime zest in both the crust and the filling, and lots of fresh-squeezed lime juice. YUMMY. Thanks, Jess!

No More Tacos

So last night I started to choke on a piece of hard taco shell. It got all horizontally wedged in my throat, all sharp and pokey. I panicked. Later, when I could breathe normally again, I went to the emergency room to make sure I hadn't scraped an infectable gash in my throat. Aaaah! What am I, five? I still don't know how to chew and swallow? I am not letting myself every have tortilla chips, taco shells, or the like EVER, EVER AGAIN. Bad, bad chicken.

But the nice thing is, the doctor had a great bedside manner. You just don't run across doctors with good, calming, non-condescending bedside manners much.
