Jumping like a sheep -- BAAAA -- onto the TV Meme bandwagon ...

01. Post a list of 10 TV shows you love (current or canceled!)
02. Have your friends list guess your favorite CHARACTER from each show
03. When guessed bold the line and write a sentence about why you like that character
04. Post in your own livejournal

01. Firefly - Kaylee (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] keever). A very well-written, witty, strong female character. Zoe is a close second. Both very gorgeous actors. But Kaylee's humor and intelligence are a little more subtle, and thus more likeable.
02. Angel - Lorne (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] alice23kate). Funny, green, and oh so gay. And boy can Andy sing!
03. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Andrew (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] wickedprincess3). Only the funniest geekboy ever. And with oven mitts and a hard-on for Xander and Spike. Need we say more? Faith is a close second, because, HOT. But Andrew was my first major fandom obsession, so he stays #1 by just a pinch.
04. Wonderfalls - Jaye (guessed by no one). I love the way she's forced to think better of herself over the course of the eps, the way she starts makes decisions to help people above and beyond the instructions, so to speak. She also gets the funniest lines, and Caroline's comic timing is brilliant. Plus, "slacker ivy league graduate" is a favorite aspiration of mine. But also, none of the other characters really had time to develop fully -- curse Fox for cancelling this wonderful show!
05. The O.C. - Seth (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] zandra_x). Ah, his self-deprecating humor, show meta-humor, and comic book love all contribute to this obvious choice. Again with the emerging pattern. Yes.
06. Smallville - Lex (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] the_automatik). Just because he doesn't actually want to be evil, but tends toward it anyway, and because his obvious care for Clark often leads him down very interesting roads.
07. Alias - Irina or Marshall (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] keever). I really hate the idea of a tie, but I just can't break it in this case. I have to have Marshall as my favorite because he fulfills my pattern (nerdy, insecure, funny), but the hotness of Lena Olin tends to triumph over all other considerations. Well, also because her character is so interesting, and because Irina's manipulations and emotional trickery are so nuanced in the hands of such a talent as Lena Olin. So I just have to have them both as my favorites. ARGH!
08. Roswell - Michael (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] alice23kate). I really wanted to say Isabel, because Katherine Heigl's sheer beauty almost triumphs over all other considerations. However, Michael's constant rebellions against the group are just too interesting -- his broody loner mystique gives him a slight edge.
09. Queer As Folk (U.K.) - Vince (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] wickedprincess3). Stuart is too obvious, whereas Vince fulfills my constant desire for a Mary Sue -- a nerdy sci fi geek with a sense of humor. Do we sense a pattern?
10. The L Word - Alice (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] karenor). All the other characters just feel too stereotypical for my taste (with the exception of Tina, who is a close second). Alice feels like a real character, untarnished by writers' weird stereotypes. She's quirky, funny, a great flirter, and she says exactly what she thinks. "Sardonic" is a good word [livejournal.com profile] karenor used to describe Alice.
