Season Five quips

chickenWe finished watching our Season Five Buffy DVDs recently. I never get tired of this one (it popped into my head this morning and has been spinning there all day) --
Inexpressibly hilarious, in the midst of all the pain and horror, a bit of comedy in an alley, back to old vampire-slayin' times, before she'd even heard of all these new Evils. It's such quintessential Joss, the kind of thing that puts his stamp fully back on the show, as if to say that none of the other writers could really have written it *quite* so well.
BUFFY: You ever heard the expression, "biting off more than you can chew"? Okay, um, how about the expression, "Vampire Slayer"? VAMPIRE: What the Hell are you talking about? BUFFY: Wow! Never heard that one? Okay, how about, "Oh God, my leg, my leg?" (fights him) VAMPIRE: Oh God, my leg! Ah!(-- Vrya's Buffyverse DB)
