So when we were sick we ate lots of Andrew food -- Capri Suns, Hot Pockets, and Onion Blossom.
But there were no funnel cakes around. We ordered them, and they arrived today.
bunnyohare confirms that Andrew is not alone in having Funnel Cakes kick his ass -- they are difficult to make for someone who has never done so (and we have a horrid electric oven) -- the batter consistency is tricky, and unless the oil temperature is constant, who knows!
But they were SO tasty -- lighter and tastier than dough boys, a bit reminiscent of the texture of good Japanese tempura batter. But sweet with the sugar on top! Mmmmmm, nummy!
bunnyohare thinks Andrew tried to make them because maybe Tara left a box behind (they are a southern food and she is from the South), or maybe Andrew and Jonathan picked up a box on the way back from Mexico?
