chicken | Help with damaged Apple Monitor

Hi.. My warranty ran out a long time ago on this monitor, it is an Apple 17" Studio Display. I have had it for probably 3 1/2 years.

Anyway, today I dropped it (!!!) and now there is a weird dent-type thingy in the middle, a patch of screen that looks yellowish.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? Or is it a unfixable? Will it get worse and/or spread?

I am willing to live with my stupid mistake as long as it doesn't get worse, get bigger, cause a short, etc. If it just stays the same and does not get worse, I can pick a desktop picture that will make it less visible.
