Sometimes humans are actually nice
Sep. 13th, 2004 09:58 amYesterday I was at the evil Sams Club, evil, evil, and I just wanted to buy ONE THING. And I waited in line forever, and then I got to the front and was ready to pay, but was not allowed to pay, because my membership had expired. And the stupid clerk was really mean about it, and the line was being held up, and I was pissed off because I waited in line all that time.
The woman in line behind me was SO nice, and said that I could use her membership card, and that she'd been there before. See, I can't afford to renew the membership right now, and she said the same thing had happened to her. I was so thankful. Most people would be all, "you bitch, get out of here, you are holding up the line," but she was actually NICE. People are never this nice. I am cynical, but it is true. This woman was the exception, and I was blown away because my expectations are so low.
