chickenToday is the 2nd anniversary of having our two sweet cats.
They were actually 6 weeks old when they first came home, so they have two dates for celebration.
Their present was an open window, a new window hammock, and 86 degree weather. They went bonkers with joy, and they looked so splendid with the sun on their fur and the breeze in their whiskers.
They are the best cats ever. Everyone gushes over their animal friends, but these! These are so nice that they will come running and lick your chin and purr if you sing their favorite song. They will put up with an amazingly dirty litterbox without complaint, without going outside the box. They aren't food-obsessed, but graze casually, and don't meow and beg. When the food bowls get re-filled, they don't come running like crazed beasts. When Buffy is on, they will come sit on my lap or my girlfriend's chest, and they will purr like maniacs.
Quality of life cannot begin to describe their wonderfulness.
We're not ashamed of gushing over them. We're not ashamed of being a stereotypical dyke couple with cats. We're proud of them. Anyone who meets them immediately forgets all that. Because those cats rule!
