We've only seen four episodes so far, but already I am loving this season (TNT has finally got around to season three). It fills in some puzzling gaps that confused me while watching season four last year. It is also hilarious so far, and does some good character development all around.

Most of all, though, there is the slashiness. Of course, I am referring to the body-switching episode tonight (Carpe Noctem).

THANK YOU for not spoiling me. This would not have made me gasp, chortle, and snort had someone inadvertently written any spoilers. I love, love, love being spoiler-free. Now I finally I understand [livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen's interest in Angel/Wesley. And the Lilah thing promises to be fascinating; I can now begin to guess how her season four affair(s) must shape up. Hmmmmmm. Don't tell me how it happens.

Also, watching DB try to smile while not in Angelus smirking mode is kind of painful, yet funny.

Oh, and Wesley with long hair. And Cordelia with the cleavagy outfits. And. And. And. Stop me now.

Bless the VCR for actually working! The other good thing is that Amazon promises the Season Five DVDs will be here any minute. Like maybe tomorrow. *Squeal* OK, I am a five-year-old right now. That isn't how ages are hyphenated, I believe. Oh well. !!!!!

Yep, it's still my favorite season by far. And you've still got so much more to see! I'm skipping the reruns because I want to watch the DVD's with fresh eyes come February. It's more fun for me that way. But if I were you, I certainly wouldn't be able to resist watching, either.

I'm annoyed with Amazon. Why, oh why were mine shipped from Nevada, especially when I've read comments on Whedonesque that other peoples' shipped from Delaware? I even sprung for the non-free shipping to make things faster, but it seems like it's going to take just as long to get here as my previous sets that shipped for free. Oh, well. At least I've got Firefly out from Netflix.

Mine also ship from Delaware (via Springfield, MA). We live in the same geographic area, so yours ought to come from Delaware, too. I wonder why not -- how frustrating for you.

How is Firefly? I didn't like the first episode and so did not give it a chance (bad me). But now that I have seen and appreciated Torres and Fillion in Angel & Buffy, I'd be willing to give it another try, I guess.

It's definitely worth a look; actually seeing the opener that was intended might have changed your opinion. Fox bungled it so spectacularly.

For me, it's all about the characterization and the acting. I can't help but fall a little bit in love with Joss' characters. Plus, I've loved Nathan Fillion since he was the best damn Joey ever on One Life to Live like ten years ago. And, of course, there's the sexiness of Gina Torres and the slashiness between Simon and pretty much all of the male characters, which is fun.
