I loved the new John Waters film, A Dirty Shame. Gotta see it if you like his films. Quite funny, and didn't belabor the point -- it was only an hour and a half long movie. Comedies cease to be funny when they drag on too long, and this one didn't. Tracey Ullman always rules, and Chris Isaak, and I didn't even mind Johnny Knoxville. It was all quite good fun. I don't really get the NC-17 rating, I think the rating system is royally stupid, but whatever.

There is some rather benign full frontal male nudity, yes. Whatever. It's a stupid rating system.

Yes, you mentioned having lived in Baltimore, last time when we discussed John Waters' other movies. I gather your in-laws have already seen the film? :-)

Ooh, yeah. The in-laws are huuuge Waters fans. Yep.

(These are people who wanted to burn Madonna alive for the "Like a Prayer" video, to give you an indication of what I'm dealing with, here.)
