We went to the petting zoo on Sunday. The goats were wicked aggressive, almost knocking the food out of our hands before we could feed them. The llamas were better (except for one Bad Llama (whom you can sort of see behind the cuter one pictured below).

My [livejournal.com profile] bunnyohare took an awesome video of me and her sister feeding the animals. Below are some stills. For a few more, see my Flickr pics.

Also, there was a RACCOON-LIKE creature! (Do not tell [livejournal.com profile] swmbo.)

coati

There were also emus, kangaroos, a monkey with yellow arms, some Japanese silky chickens, sheep, an ox-like creature, and some rabbit-like Rodents of Unusual Size.

Note to [livejournal.com profile] mpoetess: there were also some PONIES, but they didn't look very happy, so we didn't do any screencaps of those.

Yes, the sign said it was called a "Coati". However, although they were cute, they seemed distressed (too much pacing). Whereas the goats (for example) seemed quite happy.

Maybe the ponies weren't as sad as I was seeing them chained to a wheel thingy giving rides to small children. I always thought pony rides should be less wheel-attached and more ... free.

You and the llama are equally cute! Very nice pictures.

In Japan there's a place called Nara Park where deer roam around and expect to be fed biscuits by the tourists. (Vendors sell the biscuits.) The deer are so aggressive! One of them bit Ron! You never expect a shy little deer to be so mean. Apparently we weren't fast enough in handing out the biscuits -- we learned our lesson and threw the rest of the biscuits at the deer and scampered out of there!

Oh no! I'm glad Ron is OK! I didn't know deer were biters, either.

Thanks for the compliment. :)
