New Year at the beach

We dined and enjoyed festivities on New Year's eve at Cocoa Beach pier. Gorgeous, warm, beautiful. Fireworks, sand, live music! There were a few asshat drunks, but they were relatively mild.

I'm glad we decided to take advantage of the weather down here. I don't miss freezing my ass off at First Night, no sir!

Feb. 18th is the new year in the lunar calendar, and it will be the year of the Pig. However, I may just keep on using my old 2005 year of the CHICKEN icon, because, well, it's a chicken. ;-)

Happy New Year, everyone. And pppttthhhh! to those of you who were awake enough to watch Torchwood last night. I fell asleep and now I get to watch it tonight instead.

New Year in the warmth... nah, it just sounds too weird! The Edinburgh street party had to be cancelled because of the horrible weather. It's practically tradition. ;)

I didn't go to my brother's. I spent Christmas with friends here in Houston. I've talked to my father twice, and my stepmother once (who refused to go either) and I really dodged a bullet. It was a typical freaky alice23kate family nightmare of a holiday. Hee. And I missed it all! Ha ha!

We are so pathetic that we went to bed at roughly 10 pm and slept the new year in quite happily. So much for any festivities! Zzzzz....

Actually I was joking that last year was the year of the Rabbit Slipper, because in no other year have I seen so many kinds of bunny slippers for sale in lots of different stores. Usually they are impossible to find, but this year was different!
