Salmon accident

Yes, I managed to spill half the salmon on the floor yesterday, on the way from the baking sheet to the plate! Horror! And our cats are so anti-table-scraps that they didn't even bother trying to "rescue" the fish. Then, in my stress, I turned around and stepped in it, and the floor got all greasy and in need of mopping.

Granted, it was only the $11.99/lb salmon, not the wild $23.99/lb salmon. That would have made me weep. Still, it was very, very nice Whole Foods Salmon, and I cried on the inside. Then later, I laughed and laughed! Ha ha, silly chicken.

Other than that, I haven't been up to much lately other than taking giganamous quantities of pictures, mostly of the cats. Only because they are so eternally beautiful.

It's OK sweetie, let the salmon go. :) What we shared was lovely, so you've got nothing to feel bad about. It really was very tasty, but at the end of the day neither of us really need to eat mass quantities of meat. :)

Pearl is in fact one of the cutest kitties in the world, and her fur between the toes is magnificent.

My dogs won't eat table scraps like that either. Weird.

I've dropped food before, and it's so upsetting.

Thank you! They are beautiful. Your doggies are pretty as well. I think all animals are beautiful especially in nice natural light. That way they don't blink and flinch and run away in the glare of the camera's flash. They just sit there dozing peacefully, gorgeously lit.

Animals that eat table scraps get overweight really easily, so we should be grateful. :)

My doggies are a bit overweight because they start bitching for more kibble and sometimes, naughty me, gives it to them. :hangs head:

But we walk a lot and they don't eat junk food. They actually eat a very very nutrious expensive dog food called Innova. Nothing but the best for them.

I need to get my dogs outside and take their pictures in the sun. I've tried taking Zelda's picture when she's sitting in the sun looking outside, but she always runs toward me when she sees the camera. Silly girl.

My Jasmine does that, too! That's why there are twice as many pictures of Pearl, because Jasmine either runs toward me, or turns her head away, so 90% of the shots of her are either blurry or of the back of her head. I should just take a video and do screencaps!

Video. That's what I need to do. I'm so paranoid about my dogs because they're seriously old for dogs. Zelda will be 10 in Apr and Zooey will be 13 in December. That's O - L - D in dog years. It makes me so worried. That was the whole reason behind the Santa pictures and the one I jumped in. That's the *only* picture I have with them and then one day they'll be at the Rainbow Bridge and I won't have any *proof* of their lives with me.

I'm taking my camera out tomorrow, by gum it!
