Here's our Jasmine enjoying a greek yogurt. She never used to be a food kitty, but since she's gotten ill we've begun to indulge her a lot more. Shrimp, yogurt ... who knows what's next?
Jasmine is having fun! My Zooey gets food already over her face every time she eats.
I'm sorry about Jasmine. Have you thought about feeding her all natural food, sort of the way you're trying to feed yourself now? You know, giving her hormone free fish or chicken, brown rice, vegetables, cottage cheese, whatever she'll eat? It can't hurt, and it might make her feel better or either feel wonderfully spoiled.
I don't know if the vets always know for sure. Zooey was diagnosed with serious heart problem (a very enlarged heart) and has been on medication since 1999. One vet told me she'd live a few months, another said a few months, a third said, "Well, let's try some new medicine." Here she is 8 years later. :shrugs: Who knows?
She does get natural food scraps a lot, but we feel it is important to also feed her the prescription dry food for kidney cats. It's not on "the list" of foods, and we check often.
That's hilarious! And I love how she looks up at the camera with this, "And what are *you* looking at?" expression! Very dignified, in spite of the yogurt covering her furry face.
