Hope

I'm the most cynical person I know. Now this might not be true. I've even been extremely cynical about Obama's message of hope. But right now his speech has turned that around a bit. I think I actually cried tears of relief.

I woke up feeling that I needed to drink the koolaid. And I'm pretty much with you on the cynical train.

To me it's the difference between cowering, twitching and flinching, versus peeking up somewhat hopefully over the edge of an unknown void. To non-cynics this may not seem like a huge difference, but to me, it is.
