Spike was incredibly funny. I especially loved the numerous new nicknames he and others thought up for Angel. Mr. GrumpyPants, was it? Heh heh.

Are they going to give short shrift to Lorne now that he had his big ep. last week? And where or where is Harmony? We know well that Mercedes McNab signed a contract for 17 episodes, after all.

On the frequently discussed subject of Number Five's mask always being on -- I think part of the reason for this is that it obscures the actor's actual age. The character is supposed to be probably at least 65 years old, so if you need an actor that can jump and fight like that and not always shoot with the stunt double (or at all), you need an actor less than 65 years old, probably. The mask is handily obscuring, pretty, and interesting.

I am still trying to figure out the reason Angel said the thing about the "father killing his son" prophecy.

I asked [livejournal.com profile] keever earlier if Angel forgot that minds had been wiped, or if he was being taunting.

But then I read this in [livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen's journal:

"Plus Wes this season has been the only one whom Angel has trusted with any hint of vulnerability or a need for a confidant, as shown again tonight by his stupid and/or ironic hope that Wesley would remember the fake prophecy - an action, btw, which either shows that Angel needed Wes to remember more than he needed the reality of what he did, or possibly which shows that Angel wasn't fully aware of all the implications of his actions regarding Connor."

So I am confused again.

Maybe Jeff and Joss purposely leave this in an ambiguous light, at least for now. After all, unlike a lot of other shows' writers, they tend not to underestimate the intelligence of their viewers.

Well, I'm hoping that the 17 episode thing means that there will be five episodes this season in which we don't see her because she's not really needed, and she's there for any potential sixth season.

Isn't there a website whose episode guide lists, for every episode, the various nicknames that Angel is called?

Yeah, I think the mask was practical, for easy stunt placement and to mask Danny Mora's age. Also, shiny!

I don't think he's being taunting. I just think that it's really hard to pretend that you didn't have a son, and that all of the pain surrounding Connor didn't happen, paticularly when related prophecy issues are still being forced because of Spike. He forgets.

I think he does need some support, and because of what happened between Angel and Wesley because of a prophecy, Wesley is the obvious choice. I think he's fully aware of what his choice involved, but he might not have realized how hard it would be.

Yes, there is. [livejournal.com profile] vrya has had it for quite some time and it is the Buffyverse Dialogue Database.

I've been helping out with some of the Season 1 and Season 2 Angel episodes. I did Eternity, Blind Date, Untouched, Guise Will Be Guise, The Shroud of Rahmon, Happy Anniversary, and Belonging from Season Two. I particularly enjoyed doing Guise Will Be Guise, but I am kind of ashamed of the shoddy work I did on Belonging. Vrya really did most of the work on that one because I sort of abandoned it. Bad me. I mean, I didn't even do plot highlights or memorable moments.

I think one person is still working on Disharmony, but other than that, Season Two is done, and she'll probably be taking volunteers for Season Three pretty soon. Then she'll be caught up.

And she changed the name from the Buffy Dialogue Database to the Buffyverse Dialogue Database so as to include Angel.

It is great fun. It is especially fun to do string searches for interesting words and see what hits you get back, like 18 hits for the word "doomed".

P.S. I forgot to say that the AKAs for this week's episode won't be up for a few more days. It takes a long time to do all the work for each episode, and she has a job now.
