Yes, that was a HUGE pile of dishes. I have not seen such mold in 14 years. Not since the horrible flatmate of 1990 have I smelled such a smell.

Dear self: I promise not to let the dishes get that bad ever again. -Love, me.

P.S. Three hours of washing and washing could have been avoided by spending oh, say, fifteen minutes each day!! LEARN, self. You silly, silly chicken.

Isn't it great? It was used as the theme for The Drew Carey Show for a while. Which of course wasn't as funny as my fav. show that it replaced, cruelly (Ellen), but oh well, it was still a good show.

I adored Ellen, too. I catch it on Lifetime every once in a while at like three in the morning, and it's still great.

Yes, much of Ellen's humor is not topical but slightly more long-term, because it's mostly just observations about all of us, the humans of this century or so.
