Free weekly songs in iTunes
Apr. 29th, 2004 11:38 amSong downloads are sure to increase with the unveiling by Apple of a free weekly download for iTunes users. Every Tuesday the company will make one song available for free to all customers, something analysts think will pay off big for the company.

Kickass.
Although, given the overwhelming pounding their servers got yesterday, who knows how fast the downloads will go. Maybe by then they'll have cobbled together a few trillion more servers by Tuesday. Haha.
Also, if the choice(s) of songs is sucky, it will not help them.

It'll be interesting to see what songs they offer! I would think it might work better if they offered you your choice of, say, a half-dozen songs from different genres. Anyway, we'll see.
