I saw a guy wearing the most hilarious and geeky T-shirt yesterday.

It said:

There's no place like
127.0.0.1


Ha ha. I chortled a lot, but since it took me a few crucial seconds too many to get the joke, the guy had already walked past me and I didn't get a chance to compliment him.

Sorry, maybe it isn't really THAT funny, but still.

It isn't any worse than "got root?"

He probably bought it at http://thinkgeek.com/ or a similar site.

Those of us who get the joke can fill everyone else in on the meaning in comments or something.

It would make more sense, but part of the typical geek joke is to have a number-looking thing in it somewhere, to dazzle the uninitiated.
