Heheheheheheh. Oh yeah, I remember from my tai chi lessons ("STOP LOCKING YOUR KNEES!") your thighs really start to feel it after a while. But in a good way. If you have a really sadistic/good tai chi instructor, they'll have you do at least one practice session at half-speed, or "walking underwater." owowowowowowow.
There was definitely a lot of that near the beginning. Since we were trying to learn the poses and moves we had to go through them very slowly. Owowow indeed. OW!
Are you doing Long or Short form? I got pretty good at Short, but wimped out when it came to Long. And jeez, it's been what, almost 2 years now since my last class....
Neither one, it was just a demo class, one of many types of classes offered today at my employer's staff development day. Since we work at a university, many different classes are offered. Plus, there was ice cream afterwards.
I was a UW employee for a while and took all sorts of classes through the UW extension catalogue and the UW women's learning center. Fun, and cheap as hell.
I had that same thought -- we learned that same move that Angel & Buffy do when he turns and hugs her, turning the move into a hug from behind. Very sweet.
