Today
bunnyohare and I got married to each other. At last, after more than ten years of being together. Bless the Commonwealth! Most of all blessings to my Ellie whom I love so very much!
She has taken my name so we are now Ms and Ms (or Mrs. and Mrs.?) Ellie & Carole Mah.
People in attendance were Ellie's mother, father, brothers and sisters and their significant others;
rms2, and
kerri9494.
kerri9494 and one of Ellie's sisters were seen dropping a tear or two.
First, we listened to the always kind Attleboro town clerk, Sue, read the wedding text.
Then we said our vows, which made me cry with joy SO much the night before when we were practicing. In sickness and in health [tears],as rabbits and chickens [tears], till death do us part [weep]. :-)
At last it was time for the rings, which definitely moved us all. We have matching rings, 1/4 size difference from one another (mine is bigger). We got really traditional ones, so that people know for sure when they see our hands that YES, we are married! (There is a picture of them at the URL shown below.)
Then we kissed. Everyone laughed when Ellie said "we're not going to do the make-out kiss!"
Pictures on the benches outside in good light followed the ceremony.
During this picture-taking session, there were some red-clad work-release convicts eating lunch about 50 feet away on some other benches. Wouldn't you love to see the pictures of THAT when Ellie's brother sends them? Heh heh.
Actually no, Ellie's brother managed not to get the convicts in frame. He will send higher quality images later. For now, we've capped a few scenes from the video her Dad took:

Then we went and ate a ton of dim sum at the Phoenix Dragon. I think everyone was quite pleased with the food and company.
Finally we went home to complete our glorious day with those fine and healthy activities enjoyed by many a couple, bliss of blisses.

Date: 2004-06-25 07:32 pm (UTC)So we've just found out I cry at weddings. Or even a handfull of pictures from weddings. My brother's wedding is in 2 weeks. I'm doomed.
Anyway, congrats. I know you'll continue your wonderful lives together, and enjoy your wedding weekend. :)
