Grepping journal entries

Yes, I am a geek, but it is so annoying that there seems to be no way to do a simple string search (let along a regular expression search) across all my journal entries.

Does anyone know of a way to do this that I just don't see, or is this the sort of feature you have to become a paying user to get?

I dunno. Did you check the LiveJournal FAQ? Prolly a dumb question on my part. Maybe you could Google your own LiveJournal entry?
