It took me fifteen minutes of tugging to get my passenger-side car door open, and the driver's side is still frozen shut. I need to buy lock de-icer, because I can't find the stuff from last year. ARRGH. And of course the windshield wipers were frozen in place. Also, I didn't realize how brutal out it would be, and had to go back inside twice to get warmer gear. Last time it snowed it was all fluffy and probably only barely cold enough to be snowing, but this time it is brutally cold.

I WANT SPRING.

Try to stay warm. Drive slowly and carefully. People get nutty in bad weather.

Thanks, yeah! :-) I put the car in 2nd gear and toddled along at 15 MPH, so I wouldn't have to brake (and then inevitably fishtail into a parked car), with my hazard lights on. The guy behind me was livid, but WHATEVER. Imagine how livid you'd be if I crashed into something, causing YOU to crash into me. Wanker. Hoooonk.

Totally with you on all that. Last week of work before Christmas vacation started, 9 times out of 10 I was getting i through the passenger door to get in. Hope santa gets me some lock de-icer too. Same deal with the wipers. Have replaced them once already this season because of them getting stuck to the windows and ripping. LOL

Meh. Spring could not get here soon enough.

Someone here at work claimed that spraying a lot of perfume on one's key just before inserting it in the lock helps a lot. I haven't tried it yet, and don't carry perfume with me, but I did find an old bottle of perfume buried in my desk drawers, so I'll try that before getting in the car this evening.

And why DOES the passenger side door always open more easily then? Or is our sample of two people too small to be statistically significant? :-)

Perfume? That's an interesting thought. Also worth trying out if boredom gets the best of me. ;)

LOL - Inquiring minds want to know. We should do a poll.

Oh, that was you?

I'm not sure what would be so bad about sliding into a parked car with your hazard lights on. (And besides, acceleration causes fishtailing. Braking doesn't, and if your car has ABS, you'll stop straight.)

Just FYI :-)
