Drabble, x-posted to open_on_sunday for this week's "Hair" Challenge. I haven't had any creative writing impulses for months due to being burned in a painful RPG kerfuffle, but tonight I finally had a small breakthrough. Yay.

"Why only eighty-two percent?" Spike curled his lip in amusement.

"Because of my hair, silly undead one. That used to be the only thing manly about me according to you, Mr. Hair Gel." Andrew giggled as he massaged the product into Spike's just-washed hair. "Being so manly yourself, you wouldn't understand."

"Oh right, it's so butch having my locks styled by you." Spike rolled his eyes.

Andrew sighed dramatically. "Relax big, guy -- I promise this won't get back to Mr. Broody Forehead. Besides, even vampiric heroes have trouble zhooshing without working hands."

Wow, maybe I'm more optimistic (or maybe I just haven't read enough Ann Rice) but what I envisioned was that Spike would have to regrow his hands, like a salamander regrows its tail.
