Driver's License fees!!?!

chickenNot that this negates the goodness of gay marriage, but good lord -- if I am reading this fee chart correctly, it will cost us $180 ($90 per person) to "convert" our out of state driver's licenses to Massachusetts licenses. Rhode Island only charges $17 per person.
Is that why the roads are so much better paved in Massachusetts?
