Mom has a broken hip

chickenToday was good because of hearing about the gay marriage decision in Mass.
But it was bad because I learned that on her first day out of the rehab/nursing facility, my Mom took a walk around her neighborhood (no longer a "prisoner"!) and fell, and broke her hip.
I knew this whole going home thing was too good to be true for her.
So that's some time in the hospital now, and rehab, and whatnot. :-(
