Predator

Today I saw an enormous orange cat (very big for a feral cat) carrying a DEAD SQUIRREL in its mouth. Mind you, it was crossing my parking lot behind my apartment, and I almost hit it. I was quite shocked, and braked barely in time.

I have indoor cats, who are well-fed and never ever go outside. The last time I saw this kind of wild predator was on freaking Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, for crying out loud! I must stop being so sheltered and naive. ;-) At least there was no visible blood.

You said feral but I thought "fyarl" as in the demon that Ethan turned Giles in to in season 4. Then I thought of Giles saying "[Ethan] must undo this and then he needs a good being killed" and then when Giles gets out of the car and scares Prof. Walsh. And those things made me laugh. :)

Yes, I also think "Fyarl" when people say a word that sounds similar. That was a hilarious episode, and the best demon ever, because it WAS Giles, since they did such a good job putting on the costume and makeup. Not like some demons when there is a complete mask thing.
