I'm writing my
ats_endofdays story at the last second, and need a beta. Anyone? Pretty please? I'll beta anything back for you if that helps.
Also, I need a British person to give me advice on word choice (this is for something Wesley would say). Americans would say something like, "Of course there will be a pay RAISE," but I thought I heard a British person say in some movie a phrase more like, "Of course there will be a pay RISE."
Is this right? Or is there some third option?
Thanks in advance.

2. How does a vamp get a hangover?
3. Walrus blood: NICE.
4. And all this time, I thought the extra ingredient was love.
I liked this, a bit gross with all the blood, but that's just me. Very nicely done. :)

3. Walrus blood: nice and FUNNY. I am going for the funny here, yes. :-) Thanks.
4. Haha. Yes, we wish.
Thanks for the comments. I really, really wish you'd found something wrong with it, because when betas tell me there is nothing wrong, it sounds too good to be true.

Date: 2004-10-14 01:08 am (UTC)'Raise' is occasionally used, but it's the more modern version, for example:
"If I'm going to be doing extra work, I want a pay rise."
or
"If I'm going to be doing extra work, I want a raise."
Wes tends to be very traditional in his word choices, so he'd probably use the first version.

Date: 2004-10-14 08:41 am (UTC)It's mostly all Harmony's internal thoughts, almost no dialogue at all, but Wesley does have a few lines here and there. I'd be grateful if you were to correct his speech.
