British person -- word choice help, please?

I'm writing my ats_endofdays story at the last second, and need a beta. Anyone? Pretty please? I'll beta anything back for you if that helps.

Also, I need a British person to give me advice on word choice (this is for something Wesley would say). Americans would say something like, "Of course there will be a pay RAISE," but I thought I heard a British person say in some movie a phrase more like, "Of course there will be a pay RISE."

Is this right? Or is there some third option?

2. I don't know HOW vamps get hangovers, I just know that they do -- Spike in Lover's Walk, Harmony in Harm's Way, etc.

Thanks for the comments. I really, really wish you'd found something wrong with it, because when betas tell me there is nothing wrong, it sounds too good to be true.

And also, yet, it is a bit gross with all the blood, but I wanted to see what it would all be like from a vampire's perspective. They sadly do think about it a whole lot.
